01Professional Profile

Counsel grounded in court, trained for the negotiating table.

Holding a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B Hons.) from the University of the Punjab and a BS in Pakistan Studies from Allama Iqbal Open University, Zill E Rukh Mushtaq serves as Legal Representative at an Autonomous Organization under the Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan — regularly appearing before the Hon'ble Lahore High Court — alongside a role as Associate Partner at FARZIL LAW.

He now leads FARZIL LAW | Centre for Dispute Resolution (FLCDR) as its Founder & Director, and is Gazette Notified and enrolled as an Accredited Mediator by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of Pakistan.

His alternative dispute resolution credentials are international in scope: a triple-accredited Civil/Commercial Mediator through ADR ODR International (recognised by IMI, CMC UK, and SIMI), a Level 1 Accredited Mediator of the Singapore International Mediation Institute, and a qualified Associate Arbitrator. He holds memberships of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), Young ICCA, the American Bar Association, the American Society of International Law, and WIPO ADR Young — as well as young-practitioner memberships with ICSID, the LCIA's Young International Arbitration Group, and CIICA's Young Arbitration Group.

His research on integrating artificial intelligence into ADR — published in an HEC-recognised policy journal — argues for a human-centred statutory framework where technology advises and people decide.

What the profession says.

Recommendations received on LinkedIn and in response to published research — from arbitrators, advocates, mediators, and colleagues.

★★★★★

A thoughtful and timely contribution to the evolving discourse on AI and dispute resolution. As Artificial Intelligence increasingly influences legal processes, the challenge is no longer whether AI will be integrated into ADR, but how it can be implemented responsibly, transparently, and ethically.

Congratulations on the publication. The framing of the LLM as a “fifth-party agent” is analytically sharp and points to a genuine doctrinal gap that most ADR frameworks have not yet addressed. The tension you identify between algorithmic efficiency and human judgment is particularly compelling.
